Readers will come to know, like and trust the info you provide. And, that will make it much easier for you to sell to them (which is the ultimate goal, after all). It will also build up your credibility as an authority in your niche. 3: Choose a Niche. Speaking of niche - choose a niche and stick to it. It's where the money is. There's so much info on the web that it's impossible to be everything to everybody. So, clearly define your niche and always post with their wants and needs in mind. 4: Interact with Other Popular Blogs in Your Niche. The most effective way to do this is by commenting on other popular blogs in your niche. Make your posts relevant. Don't just post to post. This is pointless and is a waste of time. Use the space to leave helpful, relevant feedback. 5: Use Good Grammar. WordPress bloggers can use plugin like All in one SEO for meta tag and title optimization. Following are blogging tips related to look and content of the blog. 6) The look and layout of the blog should be nice, neat and beautiful so that it can create good impression on the visitor and he should feel to stay more and visit again. Content quality should also be good for this. 7) Navigation and layout should be such that visitor should be able to find the recent posts, labels very easily. 8) Use pictures, images wherever possible to make your post colorful and attractive. Do picture / image optimization as described in my earlier post. No need to use large images, you can use medium to small images. 9) Loading time of the blog should not be very long or visitor will run away before the page opens. You have been making regular posts but you just don't seem to be getting any traffic. Well there are two reasons for not getting traffic. One is easily fixed and the other well is quite difficult. Ok so the two reasons why you are not getting traffic are. Know one can find your blog, and the other know one is interested in what you are writting. Which do you think is the easy one. Sometimes you can also search for information to post about from the internet. However, please don't simply copy and paste. You will get penalized by the search engine.23. A Very Long Post? Break It Into PartsI've come across some post, it is a very long post. But the topic is very interesting, so I start reading it. After awhile, I feel tired and stop reading it. This is what will happen if your blog post is too long. You can always break it into parts. Like what I do in this post. However, I've come across a very high trafficked blog, and the author's opinion is that, he said he don't even care about what others are saying. He will post whenever he want, and no matter how long the post will goes. Indeed he has got a very good blog with tons of visitors and readers. Its a waste that I forgot to bookmark that blog, or else I can show you here. So for me, I think the best is to break a long post into parts. WordPress (WP) is another popular platform and is directed towards more advanced users. WordPress is also free, however, the majority of people who use this platform buy hosting and and a domain name. Here are the benefits of using WP. 1. There are a ton of plugins (some are good, some are really bad). 2. You will own the site (if you buy the domain name). 3. There are many more theme options. 4. It's easy to customize the appearance of each blog (Some .css knowledge might be required). 5. Looks more professional - almost like a real website. 1. Most people who use WP pay for domain names and hosting. 2. Might be too advanced for beginners. 3. You need to know a little .html and .css if you want to customize templates. 4. The widget options might be too overwhelming for beginners. 5. Not as user friendly. As you can see, WordPress is targeted towards more advance users. My recommendations are for beginners to try out Blogger and once they get an understanding of how to blog, then switch over to WordPress. This way you can obtain a free domain name, practice on the free blog and then when you're ready, switch over to the more advanced WP platform. Expand on the answer a little bit, and link to another website, so they can find more information by clicking the link. Always invite people to comment on what you write on your blog. You want comments. You need interaction. Visit other people's blogs similar to yours, and invite them to visit you. Don't place links in the comment, put the link in the space provided. Be sure your link is correct (copy and paste it if you have to). Don't accept ALL comments on your blog. If they don't pertain to what you wrote, or they're selling something you don't support, delete them. As you add more blog posts, concentrate on finding the common topic of your blog. What is it you write about most. That's your passion. Keep writing. Either finish them, or delete them once a month. Otherwise, they're just taking up space in the background. Keep visiting other people's blogs and sending them back to your blog. Keep sharing your blog with others on social media, with friends. Promote other blogs you find interesting. Invite other bloggers to share your content on their blog. Guest posting and interactive sharing brings more readers. Find products and books you can review that are relevant to your topic. Write about them, review them, and link to them. Remind your readers, "Visit my links and read my blog posts." Whenever you're writing on forums, or other spaces.
