Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra have been charged with a cheating and forgery complaint by a businessman.
A businessman named Nitin Barai registered a complaint against the couple yesterday at Bandra police station.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. The complaint stated that the couple's fitness enterprise 'SFL Fitness company' asked him to invest Rs 1.51 crore into the enterprise to earn a profit.
Barai's complaint further alleges that the project did not materialise and when he asked for his money, he was threatened.
In July, Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai police for his alleged connection to the production and distribution of pornographic videos through his apps. The 45-year-old businessman was released on bail two months later, in September.
