Tollywood actress Rashmika Mandanna took to social media to address her fans recently, urging them not to travel during the pandemic to meet her.
Recently, a fan of her had travelled 900 KMs to Karnataka just to see her, he had even turned up at her home. However, the actress was in Mumbai with her pet Aura to shoot for her debut in Bollywood. Upon knowing the news, the actress requested fans to show her love only through social media for now, setting the right example. She wrote, “Guys it just came to my notice that one of you had travelled super far and have gone home to see me..Please don’t do something like that.. i feel bad that I didn’t get to meet you. I really really hope to meet you one day but for now show me love here..I’ll be happy! (sic)”
Reports state that Rashmika’s fan had travelled from Telangana to Karnataka to meet her. He Googled her address but when he asked bystanders to confirm it, they informed the police who sent him back home. Recently Ram Charan met such fans who walked from Jogudula to Hyderabad to meet him, welcoming them with open arms. However with the Covid-19 pandemic still at large, even if the numbers are lessening, Rashmika chose to ask her fans to not take the risk.
She will soon make her debut in Bollywood with Mission Majnu and Goodbye. In Tollywood, she shot for Sukumar’s Pushpa, which will see Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil as her co-stars. The film revolves around the topic of red sanders smuggling and while the actress’ role has been kept under wraps, she learnt a Chittoor accent for the same. The film will release in two parts, with the first part expected to hit screens this year. Further details are awaited.
